Thread: Ubuntu 13.04 - Eclipse missing pane in "install new software "

i cannot use install new software using "help -> install new software" in eclipse (both 4.2 , 3.8) after upgrading ubuntu 13.04. panel below name/version bar appears missing (or small) list available software. when scrolling on side of missing panel, possible see handful of rows of pixels change, believe items in list of available software scrolling past. not possible tell sure, however, becasue if panel exists @ all, few pixel rows high. true both eclicps 4.2 (which installed manually) , eclispe 3.8 (which installed ubuntu software center after removing eclipse 4.2).
.
thanks!

i have found 2 contributing factors problem. first, noticed eclipse -> -> install new software window not maximized. maximinzing window provided enough vertical height item in list displayed. prefer see several items in list, rather single item in list @ time, @ least possible select packages install. second, using defalt nouveau display driver. noticed computer screen scrolled when moving cursor between top , bottom of screen. occured because nouveau driver appartently cannot support screen resolution (i.e., 1366 x 768). installing nvidia binary display driver , selecting proper resolution eliminated need screen scroll.
