Thread: boot HDD not reconised by pc


hi, don't know messed up, booting damaged.

started pc via live cd, opened gparted, find no device there. ( have 1 hdd os's connected). on terminal command "sudo blkid" find live cd.
"sudo fdisk -l" doesn't react.

problem yesterday. think after playing gprted, if didn't change @ end.
monitor gets unexpected frozen @ first. after restart couldn't boot. messige ntldr. restarted live cd, couldn't see hdd os in gparted @ first. @ end worked while again, if didn't change anything, , same problem.

gparted nothing play around -- if data not securely backed first.

if didn't wipe out essential, should able recover boot recovery tool here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1769482

note motherboards need "boot" flag set on bootable partition.
