Thread: Can't save file to filesystem

sorry if i'm repeating question, searched & didn't find thread directly on point.

i'm trying save .odt file virtual-machine shared folder in /file_system/media directory on ubuntu, keep getting messages file system read-only & won't allow me save there. defeats purpose of shared folder, can save documents folder direction of windows 7 host. able save files there both host (win7) & guest (the ubuntu virtual machine). hence "shared" aspect of shared folder.

real question is, how make can save files in folder on file system? need change root user? how can & still use gui?

much!

root owner

code:
gksudo nautilus
