Thread: Libre Office 3

hello

hope might able novice me , apologise in advance if posting a) stupid , b) has been posted before. did have quick couldn't see anywhere staring me in face!

have libre office 3 , have encountered problem. working on document saved 7.3.13 docx 785.9 kb , updated more work on 12.3.13 docx. sent 12.3.13 workplace has microsoft word 2003. wouldn't open. when looked @ document's properties said 260.3kb thought bit odd.
when got home opened document (which should have 64 pages on it) showed 7 pages , it. opened previous 7.3.13 document, , has 7 pages on it. (should have more 64 pages on working on , adding it).
can't find documents anywhere were. working on last night , fine - know might have happened? or (and better) whether can recover it? didn't consciously ask don't think there one.

if know might have happened , can help, please can talk s-l-o-w-l-y- me bit of luddite!

i find libreoffice issues can responses in these forums it's worth looking @ libreoffice forums. if find, unfortunately, experience isn't uncommon. working in .docx format writer known risky , several other users have reported losing pages long documents have done. (see http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/3831 example.) advice (a) keep backup copies, (b) convert document .doc format , work whenever can , (c) heed warning in libreoffice saving in other .odf (open document) format.

see libreoffice 4 has been released , intend try out when chance, see if more reliable in respect. fingers crossed!
