Thread: Need perfect Tool for College (eWriter, Tablet)

hi everyone! i've been looking kind of tool (i prefer use of word instead of gadget) studies.
i'm civil engineering student, , i've been thinking lot on how incorporate technology student life.
have decent desktop pc ubuntu 12.04, serves me tasks (libreoffice, octave, pdf reading, sharing documents, etc.) i'd incorporate tech classes.
basically, perfect tool need have:
  • decent screen (10" do) .
  • good stylus performance (one of important features needed)
  • ability save , edit notes, either on device (preferred) or in pc.
  • pdf reader (an , e-book if possible) ability take notes above.
  • a web browser may of utility.

found tablets can accomplish things price pretty high, , perform many actions don't require.

what found:
  • noteslate: seems promising product, although keeps on waiting. it's (promised) low cost tempting.
  • kno tablet: discontinued, incredible project. had need.
  • boogie board rip: tool take note. mono color. can bought in amazon $99. interesting alternative. although serves note taking. forget pdf files, or ebooks.
  • samsung galaxy note 10.1: tool needs. cons: cost, , i'll paying many uses don't need.

other ideas i've thought using netbok wacom tablet, tablet (but definitively galxy note 10.1 fits best), or powerfull e-reader.
if know something, please share!!
thanks!

good question! wish had answer!
