Thread: USB slow on Asus P8H77-I

hi,
i'm running ubuntu server (64bit) on asus p8h77-i motherboard (os installed on wd caviar green hdd). works fine except usb ports - transfer speeds low - 1.7 mb/s via usb 2.0 ports , 2.8 mb/s via usb 3.0 port. seems wrong me. missing driver or something?
usb drive wd passport usb 3.0 portable drive ntfs filesystem.

i forgot same usb drive works on other computer - laptop ubuntu desktop 12.04. guess has combination ubuntu + p8h77-i. idea diagnostic/troubleshooting can use?
