Contribute Role Setting for Pasting Content from Word

in troubleshooting dreamweaver/contribute issue, came across settings in administrative file holds contribute user role information site (_mm/cthub########.csi). in disecting file found 2 settings in particular...

 

<paste_word_as_is value='true' />

<paste_word_text_only value='false' />

 

this peaked interest because i've had problems our content editors copying/pasting directly word without taking time clean content. if these settings exist in file, why can't find setting through contribute's administrative interface?

 

either way, wanted see if changing these effect how contribute pasts content copied word. first changed paste_word_text_only value 'true' , worked, sucessfully stripped out stylings word. changed paste_word_as_is value , forth didn't seem have effect on content.

 

so first question is, these settings exist through administrative interface?? i've looked , looked, yet cannot find these 2 settings.

 

and second, purpose of paste_word_as_is setting??
