amd athlon(tm)64processor 3000+ 798mhz
network adapter broadcom 802.11g


hi, have looked , looked through these page , more see more confused.
have been trying run ubuntu 12.10 on laptop, ive got stage seems load, well, gets try or install screen,.im running pendrive, main os xp. click try , seems go red screen. can see no icons , can nothing. confused. on try/install screen there couple of icons in top right corner , pops , says no internet connection goes away once hit try button go , screen blank red. ive read may down graphic driver, when go device manager , click card comes alist of driver files/confused.so cant give that.this demanding, not expecting, ive heard great things ubuntu want stick , learn, please. im sure have been asked these questions time , again ive looked , got more confused.it seems need hand held make work.baby steps, if has patience.maybe im in on head, if should give up/ dont want if think should tell me. many

how ram machine have

instead of choosing install or try ubuntu select check disk defects , see reports

did md5sum iso

should cover of obvious basics. if these check out off next steps
