Thread: How to install Flash in WINE

with reference couple of recent threads, trying install flash in wine can watch amazon instant video. every time try run flash installer, crashes. here's doing:

1. open firefox in wine.
2. go http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
3. adobe autodetects system "windows 64-bit , english, firefox."
4. uncheck mcafee security scan box.
5. click download.
6. install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe saved ~/downloads, not run automatically.
7. open ~/downloads , double-click on executable.
8. executable vanishes directory listing (!).
9. @ point, top shows install_flashpl taking 18% of cpu capacity.
10. installer crashes "unhandled exception: page fault on write access 0x334f3800 in 32-bit code (0x02b0a12f)."

os: ubuntu 12.04 64-bit (fully updated 2 days ago)
wine: 1.4-0ubuntu4.1
windows ff: 20.0.1
flash: 11.7.700.169

suggestions?

Some mp4 files not displaying correctly (CS6)

a week ago in premiere pro cs6 world. one day updated windows, next day few .mp4 video files opened in premiere pro, played fine well, except fact display has green (sometimes multicolour, solid green block) bars in lower third of screen. see screenshot below.   these same files open/display fine in after effects, photoshop , vlc- , quicktime players. i'd read fromyears ago windows updates causing this, removed 1 of therecent kb's no avail. i did install adobemediaencodertrial_64-6.0.3-mul-adobeupdate and dynamiclinkmediaserverretail-1.0.1-mul-adobeupdate and reverted quicktime 7.6 but nothing makes difference.   in end, formatted c:\, reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 64bit , downloaded/installed 260 updates , reinstalled cs6 (and aforementioned ame , dlms updates , qt7.6) it's still same problem.   also tried exporting (part of) 1 of these files, see if wasn't display problem: exported file same properties original has green bars.   what else can do?   thanks in advanc
